THE RULES:
It's time for this month's contest! And it's time to get creative once again. A few days ago, I mentioned that you need to start thinking about Spring. Specifically, words that you could use to describe the season. The reason for all of that was because to win this month's contest, you have to come up with your very own Spring Haiku!
For those of you (like me) who skipped the poetry section of English class, a haiku is a three-line poem. The first line has exactly 5 syllables, the second line exactly 7 syllables, and the final line has exactly 5 syllables. Here's an example of a haiku about an orange:
Juicy, citric fruit
Grows on the limbs of the trees
Colorful circle
Come up with your own haiku about the season of Spring, and send it in by April 28. I'll pick a winner from the entries, based on cleverness and creativity. For a look at what you could win, check out the chart below. The winner gets to select one of these cool DVDs. (If you don't have a DVD player, we can work out a different prize, so don't let that stop you from entering!)
