 76-WORD REVIEW [NOV 11]

At the request of his dying friend, Jake Epping enters a portal in the back of a diner and finds himself in 1958. Tasked with preventing the coming assassination of Kennedy, Epping soon discovers that the past does not want to be changed. King is a better writer than many of his contemporaries, in both story construction and stylistic execution. While readers should beware of intermittent foul language and other such color, this is gripping fiction.
