 76-WORD REVIEW

Earth becomes the target for an alien invasion in this sci-fi classic. Although written more than 20 years ago, it still holds up as an epic-scale saga that actually reads like a movie – which I consider a good thing in this case. There aren’t many genre-busting concepts here, but the story is engaging enough to pull off some clichés. The ending comes very suddenly, but upon reflection it is a satisfying conclusion to an impressive story.
