 76-WORD REVIEW [AUG 11]

A scientist creates a sentient computer intelligence which then (surprise, surprise) decides that humanity has fulfilled its purpose and seeks to systematically conquer the globe. Told in a flashback/documentary format from one of the war’s survivors, Wilson traces major players from the conflict’s onset to its seeming conclusion. An intriguing concept, but failure to create sufficient emotional investment in core characters, as well as a rushed conclusion, result in an ultimately disappointing effort. Foul language abounds.
